Phil has worked in private sector consulting for 12 years, having previously been employed by Savills and CBRE. He has worked on a range of commercial and residential development proposals for national developers, investors, and institutional funds on a UK-wide basis.

During his career he has specialised in retail schemes, working predominantly on out-of-centre retail parks and food stores. He has advised landlords and retailers in respect of new stores, retail parks, extensions, mezzanine floorspace, widening use restrictions, and other physical alterations. He is experienced in producing robust retail impact assessments to support complex development schemes. He also has experience with office, leisure and industrial schemes, and a large scale housing development in the south-west.

Phil works with multi-disciplinary teams, helping to secure the required permissions within tight timeframes. He has been involved with planning appeals and call-in inquiries, providing support to senior Directors and working directly with Counsel.

Outside of the office, Phil enjoys discovering new restaurants, hill walking, music, and watching cricket. He has also recently bought a house, so DIY is a frequent activity!
