Katy Lister

Katy gained experience in a number of different planning roles before joining Planning Potential, and she has built up an impressive track record. Her skills and experience are evident in the quality of work she produces and in the outcomes she achieves.

Katy joined Planning Potential in January 2020 as an Assistant Planner and gained her chartership in March 2022. She is now a Senior Planner based in the London team. During her time at Planning Potential she has worked on a broad range of projects varying in size from several bespoke dwellings to major mixed-use schemes.

Recent achievements include securing consent for 58 units and commercial floorspace in Greenwich, reserved matters for 253 units in Braintree which was approved following a resolution to grant at planning committee, an allowed appeal via Written Reps in Wandsworth for a mixed-use scheme in a Locally Significant Industrial Site and an allowed appeal via Hearing for 9 self-build units in Dacorum. 

She regularly undertakes site appraisals, advising on planning strategy from the outset, coordinates large consultant teams on all aspects of the planning process, and prepares and submits representations throughout the Local Plan process for a wide range of clients.

She also has experience in the preparation of Health Impact Assessments and all aspects of Environmental Impact Assessments from Screening through to Environmental Statements.

Outside of the office, Katy enjoys trying out new bars and restaurants in and around London with friends and family. She also enjoys a number of different sports including netball, swimming and skiing.
