Following completion of her Master's in International Planning and Development at Cardiff University, Ellen worked in local authority planning before joining Planning Potential in 2024, becoming a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) in 2025.

Ellen assists senior colleagues and undertakes research, planning policy analysis, planning appraisals, and the preparation, submission, and monitoring of planning applications and appeals, including engagement with other built environment technical consultants.

Outside of the office, Ellen enjoys activities including running and cold-water swimming, as well as travelling to experience new places, landscapes and countries.
