Jamie’s confident approach to planning projects enables him to advise and manage applications, presenting robust and compelling cases.
BA (Hons) Geography – The University of Hull
Joining Planning Potential in August 2014, Jamie was able to apply the experience he gained from a number of different job placements – including roles with a global multi-disciplinary practice and a leading media provider for those involved in planning.
Since joining the team, Jamie has developed a sound understanding of the planning process, assisting senior colleagues with the preparation of a range of major retail, residential and leisure applications. Working on a wide portfolio of projects – and at different stages in the process – he is able to advise and strategize on an array of development proposals, making use of his planning knowledge and experience to date.
Jamie conducts business health-checks and site visits, pre-application notes and appraisals for clients who need advice about development potential. He also monitors live applications and competitor schemes, providing colleagues and clients with regular updates. Gaining useful public engagement experience, Jamie also attends consultation events to help support pre-application proposals.
Outside of work, he likes to play tennis (not as well as he used to) and enjoys perusing his favourite car-selling website with a coffee or beer in tow – depending on the mood!
