MPlan – University of the West of England
Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute
Gaining his initial experience in the public sector, Tom joined Planning Potential in 2014 from a local authority, where he worked in the planning policy team, helping to develop their new Local Plan.
Having gained experience across a number of sectors within the company Tom predominantly now undertakes work on behalf of clients in the residential sector and his skills include undertaking site appraisals, preparation and submission of large-scale residential schemes, as well as submitting applications for new schools and care homes. Additionally, Tom has also been involved (successfully) in both Written Reps and Hearing Appeals.
Tom also works closely with a major house builder, seeking to add value to their developments by optimising their approved schemes through NMA and MMA applications, navigating the complexities of overlapping and slot in consents, and the reciprocal conditions and obligations.
When he’s not working, Tom spends lots of time in the gym and is arguably the fittest member of the team!
