Katia’s enthusiasm, attention to detail and project management skills mean she is experienced in coordinating wider consultant teams and managing a range of planning applications from inception to determination, to deliver positive results.

Katia joined Planning Potential’s commercial team in the summer of 2017, having completed her master’s in Spatial Planning at UCL. Alongside her studies, Katia undertook several work placements at Planning Potential.

During her time at Planning Potential, Katia has specialised in commercial developments, managing the day-to-day coordination of a variety of retail, leisure, and mixed-use projects, providing technical input and planning strategy advice to clients on all aspects of the planning process. Katia is responsible for undertaking extensive evidence gathering and planning policy analysis to assess development proposals at appraisal stage, as well preparing documentation in support of planning applications and appeals including Planning, Economic and Retail Statements in addition to sequential and retail impact assessments. Katia has gained considerable experience of coordinating wider consultant teams and managing a range of planning applications from inception to determination, including regular communication with clients and negotiation with Council Officers to deliver positive results.

Outside of the office, Katia likes to spend time socialising with friends, and keeping fit through running. She also enjoys travelling and experiencing new places.
