Katia joined Planning Potential’s commercial team in the summer of 2017, having completed her master’s in Spatial Planning at UCL. Alongside her studies, Katia undertook several work placements at Planning Potential.
During her time at Planning Potential, Katia has worked on a variety of retail, leisure and mixed-use developments, primarily involved in providing advice and assisting with the expansion of a national foodstore operator. Katia is responsible for undertaking extensive evidence gathering and planning policy analysis to assess development proposals at appraisal stage, as well as assisting in the preparation of sequential and retail impact assessments to support retail applications. In addition, Katia frequently prepares Planning, Economic and Retail Statements, and is responsible for coordination and management of planning applications from submission to determination, including regular communication and negotiation with council officers.
Outside of the office, Katia likes to spend time socialising with friends, and keeping fit. She also enjoys travelling and experiencing new places.
