Joseph Warren-McCoy

Assistant Planner, Harrogate

Joe has assisted in the co-ordination of projects for key clientele, producing thorough planning statements and supporting documentation, striving to ensure the application process is effectively managed, and ensuring that clients are accurately updated on progress.

MPlan Town and Regional Planning – University of Liverpool

Joe joined Planning Potential’s Harrogate office in July 2021, having joined following the completion of his MPlan Town and Regional Planning degree at the University of Liverpool. During his 4 years of study, Joe also participated in the conducting of extra-curricular research on planning activities in Liverpool alongside renowned academics researchers at the university.

In his current role at Planning Potential, Joe has assisted with projects across numerous sectors, including retail, leisure, and residential sectors. Since beginning with Planning Potential, Joe has assisted in the co-ordination of projects for key clientele, producing thorough planning statements and supporting documentation, striving to ensure the application process is effectively managed, and ensuring that clients are accurately updated on progress. Joe has also assisted in providing monitoring updates on prospective sites for clients, and producing appraisals, and is looking forward to expanding his portfolio of projects soon.

Away from the office, Joe is a member of the Regional Activities Committee for the RTPI’s Yorkshire Region and also assists in the Region’s International Core Group. Joe is also blessed (or cursed…,) with being a season ticket holder at Everton FC, and loves travelling to grounds both old and new across the country following the team. He is also lucky enough to have travelled to some fascinating places around the globe, and experienced a great breadth of culture, and equally as important, food!
