Peterborough City Council

Additionally, battery storage was secured on site to ensure wider sustainable energy sources in the area is stored for future use.

On behalf of our client, Larkfleet Group Ltd, planning permission was secured by Planning Potential for a new electric vehicle charging station, comprising 14 new EV spaces and a retail offering. The site comprised the former Abbots Wood filling station, now derelict, on land to the east of the A1, Wittering, Peterborough.

The proposals deliver 14 rapid chargers, utilising the latest technology to ensure quick charging time for its users. Positive dialogue was maintained with planning officers and Highways throughout the process to ensure the development is delivered safely and longevity secured. By responding to comments throughout we were able to negotiate several points during the application, such as siting of the storage containers and biodiversity net gain, instead of the need for additional planning conditions. We were able to secure the permission under a delegated decision through discussions with the officer.
