24-hour Opening secured for Vue at Exeter

We were delighted to be able to secure planning permission to allow unrestricted opening at Vue's Exeter cinema.
The original condition limited opening hours to 2am, the removal of the condition allows a more flexible and staggered film schedule, responding to the general increase in film lengths over the years and allowing marathon viewings and special screenings before official release.
Following a review of the planning history for the site and liaison with Vue's noise consultants, we prepared and submitted a S73 amendment application to remove the planning condition. The application was supported by a noise report, management plan and evidence of other 24-hour Vue cinemas operating close to residential development.
We were delighted the Council's Environmental Health team agreed with the findings of the noise report, and that no public objections were received. As a result, permission was subsequently granted under delegated powers within 5 weeks.
