Charlie Winterburn

With his extensive experience in the planning industry, Charlie has come on board as a Senior Archaeology and Heritage Consultant in our Harrogate office to support the growth of our archaeology and heritage services in the North.

Associate of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (ACIfA)
Charlie has an extensive history of working in the planning industry across multiple sectors including renewables, minerals, residential as well as, complex small-scale projects. He has joined the team to help develop the archaeology and heritage offering in the North. He holds a BA and MA from the University of Sheffield’s archaeology department and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
During his career, Charlie has developed strong report writing skills with regard to both archaeological and heritage policy and legislation; he also has excellent relationships with clients, contractors, local authorities alongside other key stakeholders.
Away from the office, Charlie can be found playing cricket and both codes of rugby and enjoying the outdoors - often camping in one of the North’s national parks.
