MSc Regeneration, Policy & Research – University of Birmingham
MSc Town Planning – Anglia Ruskin University

David joined Planning Potential in early 2016, bolstering the Bristol office and bringing more than eight years' of private sector planning consultancy experience to the business.
For the majority of his career, David has worked in London on a range of major residential, mixed-use and leisure developments. He has been based at both an independent planning consultancy and a central London multidisciplinary consultancy, working alongside land agents, surveyors, and masterplanners.
Involvement in large-scale development proposals has allowed David to build a detailed knowledge of the discipline and strong technical planning skills, together with awareness of political, infrastructural, financial, and construction feasibility factors.
David relishes the opportunity to devise robust planning strategies on challenging sites, while also using his project management skills to guide a consultant team towards an application submission. Where required, David is adept at negotiating with planning officers, presenting to committee, and challenging decisions at appeal.
Outside of work David likes to visit music festivals in sunny European locations. He also enjoys both watching and playing sport, and feels obligated to continue supporting Aston Villa FC.
