Planning Potential’s strong performance highlighted in industry survey

30 November 2018

Planning Potential has maintained its position within the top 30 largest employers of town planners in the UK and is now in the top 10 in two sectors.

As we approach the end of 2018, the results of the annual Planning Consultancy Survey published this month in industry journal ‘Planning’ shows that Planning Potential continues to perform strongly within the planning consultancy market.

Planning Potential has maintained its position within the top 30 largest employers of town planners in the UK.  More specifically, the business is the 13th largest employer of RTPI students and licentiates in the UK, which reflects a commitment to career development.

Thanks to the ability to facilitate the ambitious development programmes of some key clients, the business is now in the top 10 in two sectors - the eighth largest consultancy in the Retail and Town Centres sector, and the sixth largest in the Leisure, Sport and Entertainment sector.

In addition, the business is proud to be a strong employer of women at all levels, coming third in the table for highest proportion of women at director level.

Despite several consultancies experiencing significant drops in staff numbers in 2017/18, Planning Potential has maintained a consistent number of employees over the last two years, while experiencing a growth in turnover within a challenging market. The growth of the in-house communications and engagement team, has further bolstered the business’s ability to deliver comprehensive planning solutions to clients.

Looking forward, 2019 will be the start of Planning Potential’s 15th year of providing expert planning advice to Residential, Retail, Commercial, Leisure, and Developer clients. The London, Bristol, and Harrogate Offices will relish another year of challenges and opportunities.
