Gail's Bakery

Wilmslow

Planning Potential secured the necessary permissions for Gail’s to convert a high street unit in Wilmslow to deliver their first ever bakery in the Greater Manchester area.

Planning Potential secured the necessary permissions for Gail’s to convert a high street unit in Wilmslow to deliver their first ever bakery in the Greater Manchester area.

Gail’s plans for the conversion involved the removal of an overbearing canopy on the buildings side elevation and its replacement with a new fascia board, as well the installation of advertisements and the utilisation of the wide pavement area for outdoor seating.

We initially undertook due diligence of the site, identifying the elements of the scheme that required planning permission. Appropriate planning applications were prepared to seek approval for the proposed changes to the two shopfronts, installation of advertisements and outdoor seating.

Following submission of applications, we engaged in dialogue with officers at Cheshire East Council to ensure the successful approval of all applications prior to Gail’s opening the bakery which has proved particularly popular in the area.
