Planning Potential makes small screen debut

17 August 2018

Knowing what alterations you can make to a property under permitted development before you require planning consent can often pose more questions than answers and there is plenty of discourse online about regulations and restrictions.

Two members of our Harrogate office recently made their screen debut, supporting Homes4Harrogate, a property letting agency, on its monthly video blog that focused on dispelling some myths around permitted development.

Our Harrogate team is well-placed to do this. With a large proportion of Harrogate town centre and nearby residential areas falling within conservation areas, we have a strong track-record of securing planning approval concerning properties with sensitive backdrops.

Sarah Johnston, Director of Homes4Harrogate, commented:

‘A number of my landlords have asked me about maximising and optimising living space and office to resi conversion. It was great to hear first-hand from Planning Potential on this, particularly as there are many options available under permitted development but also a number of circumstances where permitted development rights are more restricted, or removed entirely.’

It was great to work with a local business and talk through some of the options available. It was impossible to capture everything so if you do have any further questions, or would like us to provide you with an initial steer on your development proposals, please do not hesitate to contact us.
