“We expect to assess the suitability of new sites, prepare change of use applications and secure the permissions Kastien Coffee will need to occupy new stores, meet operational requirements, offer outside seating areas, and comply with Starbucks’ brand guidelines.”

Kastien Coffee operate a number of Starbucks stores across South West London and they have asked Planning Potential to provide specialist planning advice relating to the acquisition of new sites and the enhancement of their existing Starbucks store portfolio.

“We have been given a wide brief,” confirms Rob Scadding from Planning Potential. “We expect to assess the suitability of new sites, prepare change of use applications and secure the permissions Kastien Coffee will need to occupy new stores, meet operational requirements, offer outside seating areas, and comply with Starbucks’ brand guidelines.”

Planning Potential’s specialist consultants have acted for a number of high street café, bar and restaurant operators and have a proven track record in this area. “The high street is a challenging and competitive market and we understand the importance of securing planning consents that meet our clients’ operational needs,” adds Rob.

Planning Potential also employ communications specialists who work alongside their chartered town planners to explain the benefits of store development proposals, consult local residents and engage with local councillors. “Consultation is a key element of the application process, which helps to secure efficient permissions,” says Rob. “It’s sensible to engage with members of the local community, to ensure that any concerns they have about our clients’ proposals can be addressed swiftly.

“Kastien Coffee are experienced operators and we look forward to assisting them with their ambitious expansion plans.”
