New Metro Bank store set to open in Ashford, Kent

16 November 2018

After securing planning and advertising consents earlier this year, Planning Potential are pleased to see the store is set to open in December 2018

Following Planning Potential’s success at securing the respective planning and advertisement consents, Metro Bank are ready to launch their latest store, at the heart of Ashford Town Centre. The new store follows a series of openings across the south east, as Metro Bank pursue 100 store openings by 2020.

The Ashford store will create 25 new full-time jobs locally, which come with exceptional training opportunities in customer relations and financial services. In addition, the model will be tailored towards local customers and small/medium sized enterprises, with an ongoing commitment to significant lending in the future.

Iain Kirkpatrick, managing director at retail banking at Metro Bank, said: "Last year, we brought the banking revolution to Canterbury and after such a warm welcome from the residents of Kent, from the local community, we’re expanding in the county and opening another seven-day-a-week, customer-focused store in Ashford."

Cllr Graham Galpin, Ashford Borough Council’s portfolio holder for the town centre and business, added: "We are thrilled that such a dynamic, innovative and highly-regarded financial services company has recognised the many benefits of including Ashford in its expansion plans."  {Metro Bank Online, 6th August 2018}.

The store will open its doors to customers in December 2018.
