Planning Potential has been advising ZEDHomes on this significant town centre redevelopment scheme in Ashford, Kent for a number of years. The proposals comprise a mixed use zero carbon development of more than 1000 residential units and 8000 sq.m of commercial floorspace including offices and foodstore. This scheme forms a landmark development demonstrating highly sustainable development on a scale not yet achieved in the UK.
We have been involved in the project from the very early stages and continue to provide strategic advice on the site. A three week Public Inquiry was held in early 2008 after an appeal was submitted on the grounds of non-determination.
