Planning Potential provided a comprehensive planning service and delivered consent for an exciting mixed-use scheme incorporating a 14 storey landmark tower, 119 residential units, Health Centre, retail units and community space in the Swaythling area of Southampton. The scheme was unusual in its nature in the suburban setting, and provides a striking contrast to 2 storey dwellings that predominate.

Planning Potential coordinated and led pre-application discussions and provided on-going planning advice to ensure that the scheme met the requirements of the client, medical professionals and the council.

We produced a comprehensive planning statement, sustainability report and statement of community involvement to accompany the application and ensured the application was submitted according to a tight timetable.

Subsequently PP advised and coordinated the response to an application involving wide-ranging issues, particularly with regards to the Code for Sustainable Homes, affordable housing, and S106 contributions, and presented the application scheme successfully at the Council’s planning committee.
